WINERCOST is glad to announce the 4th Training School “Advances in Wind Energy Harvesting” that will be organised in Bratislava, Slovakia from 25th to 30th March 2018. The Training School consists of lectures, tutorials and hands-on activities. The lectures will cover the fundamental aspects of wind energy harvesting including building integration and societal acceptance. Please have in mind that the deadline for application submission is Thursday 4th January, 2018 (24:00 CET). The WINERCOST chair Prof. Dr.-Ing. C. Baniotopoulos (University of Birmingham) presented as Plenary Lecturer the plethora of research activities under the WINERCOST Action framework at the International High-end Forum on Structure Engineerings and Wind Engineering (IHFSEWE 2017) that took place in Chongqing, China 14-15 October 2017. The Forum was sponsored by the School of Engineering, Chongqing University, the Journal of Building Structure and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. During the 2 days that the International IHFSEWE 2017 lasted, the international audience and the Chinese colleagues were informed about the various research projects that run within the WINERCOST framework and were given the chance to be invited to participate to the WINERCOST’18 Conference that will take place in Catanzaro, Italy on March 21-23, 2018.
